To save you time, provided below are answers to some frequently asked questions.

Q: Do you supply replacement heel/toe plates for ski boots?

A: We don’t carry these parts. To replace the heel/toe plate you will need to order them at your local ski shop. When you do get them replaced, or if you get new boots, please visit our ski boot help page for tips on how to protect the new toes and heels of your boots.

Q: How do I determine which pads I should buy?

A: To be certain it’s recommended to measure the area of the boot where you want to place the product and compare that to the product info and dimensions on the website. The picture has the product dimensions. First identify and locate exactly the space you wish to reduce or cutomize in the boot and then measure that space, giving it dimensions. Then go to the product descriptions and pick the pads, heel lift and/or shim that will best fill and/or reduce that space. Refer to the fit guides and images for product dimensions and placement tips. The pad material is foam and can be cut to size. The white pads are moldable and significantly lighter than the black pads. Heel lifts will lift your foot if placed inside liner. Heel lifts will lift your liner if placed inside shell under liner. Pads will pad the space between liner and shell.

Tech: It’s recommended to secure pads with duct tape after adhering pads to boot liner in final position. When putting your liners back into your shell, our ski boot horn helps keep pads in place, protects your hands and make liners go in easier.

Q: Which insole shim should I buy?

A: A rough guide is that in new boot a 1/8" Insole Shim can reduce a boot size by .5 and a 1/16" Insole Shim will reduce boot size .25. This is not exact for all boots in all stages of wear from new to worn-out, but it’s a good approximation.

Q: How do I determine where to put the fitting pads?

A: Regarding the heel lifts, there are no set rules here. If adding both shims and heel lifts outside liner, most people start by taping them to the bottom of the insole shims. If no shims, just tape heel lifts to shell foot bed. Don’t glue until you are certain of placement. If heel lifts are used inside liner, put them under the orthotic/insole. Tape them in place to bottom of insole if needed. Don’t glue until you are certain of placement. Heel lifts will lift your foot if placed inside liner. Heel lifts will lift your liner if placed inside shell under liner. Pads will pad the space between liner and shell. To be certain it is recommended to measure the area of the boot where you want to place the product and compare that to the product info and dimensions on the website. First identify where exactly the location of concern on the boot and measure that space if you can. Then go to the product description and pick the pad that the best fit to reduce the space. These are recommended placements. They can go elsewhere if it works for your fit. Refer to the fit guides for the dimensions and placement tips.
